Roadmap

Nothing on this list is available, and nothing on it carries a date. It is a record of what we think is worth building next, kept public so the direction is visible rather than implied.

Items are removed from this list when they ship and appear in the tool directory instead. An item can also be removed because it stopped looking worthwhile, which is a normal outcome rather than a failure — a roadmap that only ever grows is a wish list.

The launch scope is deliberately small. It is easy to publish forty thin tools and hard to publish eight that are genuinely better than the first result for their query, and a site of forty half-finished utilities is less useful than a site of eight finished ones — it just looks busier.

So the bar for adding something here is that it does one job properly, that job is one developers actually hit, and it can run entirely in the browser. A tool that would need a server, an account or an API key on our side does not qualify, because it would break the one property that makes this site worth using.

The most useful suggestions describe the problem rather than the tool. Knowing what you were doing when you needed it, and what you did instead, says far more than a name — it tells us whether the job is one job or three, and whether the thing you need is a tool at all.
